I got THE CALL. Barneys NY has now marked down the Designer Mens by 70%! I just couldn't resist an instant scooter trip uptown to see if anything worthwhile remained. After trying on a seemingly endless supply of designer duds, I left with these two fabulous finds.
The Dries Van Noten White Cotton Voile Camp Shirt was something I had spied very early on in the season. I appreciate the "Safari Jacket" details on the back and the sheer cotton voile is very sexy and comfortable in the Summer months.
The Prada Nappa Biker Jacket was a fortunate accident. I usually wear a 48 in Prada, so I didn't even think to try this on, as it is a 46, but it fit like it was custom made for me! I normally don't buy Olive Green, but I found the color neutral and subdued and thought it would work well with my predominantly Navy and Grey wardrobe. Olive is a neutral isn't it? The Nappa has a luxurious texture with a subtle sheen. I love the button details at the back.
The best sale shoppers always think ahead to the next season and this Prada jacket is really a Fall weight jacket and will be my first purchase for Fall/Winter '09!
The best part: The Dries Van Noten shirt was originally $310 and was only $94. The Prada jacket was originally $2795 and was only $839, proving that Luxury need not be expensive.

Oooh..I like the white shirt. The back is interesting. Little details like these make a whole lot of difference!
and yes, the best sale shoppers think ahead of the season! Hehehe.
Awesome buy. I also found the Lanvin navy pleated jacket for 70% off at Barneys, in my size!
uclaboi! I'm so jealous. That was what I really wanted, but alas my size was GONE, apparently to YOU! Congrats!
Congrats on your haul!!! Incredible prices too!!!
Thanks RT!
Are you sz 48 or 50? I originally saw the taupe color jacket then found the navy one. I liked both but decided to go with the navy. Anyhow, you found a great leather jacket!
