David Drebin: Damsels in Distress

We have been searching for the perfect art for a narrow wall that was built to hide a column in our apartment. We tried a few images that we already own, including a black and white etching by Elizabeth Peyton and two black and white photographs from Berenice Abbott. Nothing looked quite right in the difficult spot.

A good friend recommended New York City based photographer David Drebin and I fell in love with these three images from the "Beautiful Disasters" portfolio. I enjoy the narrative thread of "Damsels in Distress": Where are they going? Who are they running from? What trouble is lurking?

You're house must be very smart. Nice art! I'm into photography and I wish my pictures would be in walls of the world someday
