When the Hermès Jypsière was introduced on the Fall/Winter 2008 runway, I swore I did not like it. I tried several on as soon as they hit Hermès boutiques, but I was very much against messenger bags at the time. I almost always carry a hand held tote that doubles as a gym bag.
Well, what a difference a year can make. I have come to realize that there are times, like on weekends or when traveling, that a hands free shoulder bag or cross body messenger bag would be more welcome.
The Jypsière is available in 34cm and 37cm sizes, the latter created with men in mind. Jean-Paul Gaultier, the house women's wear director, wore his while taking his bow at the end of the Fall/Winter 2008 show.
So, I am dreaming of a Jypsière. The only question: what color?

I have the 37cm in chocolate and love it....it's a bit of a pain to open, but worth the effort cause it's so beautiful.
Can't you have it in black or in grey? It's an easy choice but it always works. Less is more, and discretion is an art!

I think Amythest is good,and vert vernouse is great they are both yummmy colors!!!!
Amythest will be great also gris elephant is amzing too they both yummmy!!! but in crocodile in black its wooooow!!!
I would love one in Matte Amethyst Croc, but that is not in the budget!
Vert Veronese is very nice. I tried it on recently in Fjord.

My vote goes for Vert Veronese. I think it would really suit your wardrobe from what I've seen here.
