I featured a pair of Buttero Boots at Barneys NY for Fall '09 that I never purchased. I hate to admit it, but I am sure that part of what held me back is that, though they are made in Italy, they aren't quite a "designer label".
Looks like I've been given a second chance and I like these new boots in hand finished distressed Black leather/suede even more. Made with incredible attention to detail, they feature a 1 1/2" stacked heal complete with subtle Vibram tread soles and leather laces. The rounded toe box and slim profile lends them a rugged military elegance that will carry me through Fall '10. The higher shaft works great with tucked skinny jeans. The side zip detail makes them incredibly easy to put on and take off. Perfect everyday, everywhere boots.
They do run about one full size large (i.e. if you wear a 9US, order an 8US) if you order them from Barneys here.

I love alliterations.
Lovely boots! They look much better on the Barneys website than in my pictures lol
have you seen the Lanvin texture lace-up boots on Barneys.com? It's totally you!
This pair of boots look exactly like standard army issus ones here in Singapore. My pair looks 80% like this one...
For me, Buttero and fiorentini + baker make the best mens boots!
You sound like a mindless label whore! You didn't purchase Buttero because they aren't quite designer? You must be insane.
Buttero is a company that specializes in incredible handmade footwear at a somewhat reasonable price.
Their quality is better than many "designer" labels. I will also have you know that Buttero makes the shoes and boots for designer labels such as Dior Homme.
So elevate yourself, open your mind and don't be such a victim to the names.
are you selling any buttero boots by any chance ?
