I was visiting my favorite Shrine to Black: Atelier New York a couple of weeks ago, when none other than Will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas sauntered in to peruse the racks--sans entourage. I knew the Black Eyed Peas were performing at Madison Square Garden, but what a rare treat to see him in person looking slicker than ever in his Rick Owens Black nylon jacket piling up fabulous clothes from Atelier's niche designers. But, enough about Will.i.am.
I had heard of Faliero Sarti and their delicately ethereal scarves, but feared that since Winter was on the wane, that I would have to wait until next year to procure one. Well, Atelier was onto me. This beautiful Silver Grey 90% Modal/10% Cashmere delight was dangling just within my grasp and when I touched it, I knew it had to be mine. I've been buying a lot of black lately and sticking to a more neutral palette. This feather light scarf will add a touch of fragile draped texture to my more severe silhouettes. I'm wearing it in my Monday Outfit post this week.
Available at Atelier New York.

That looks beautiful. I've been searching for a huge gm shawl sized scarf done in neutral color and this one looks perfect! How big is the scarf if you don't mind measuring for me? I might have to head down to Atelier soon lol...
Foxie, it is actually 79" x 54", very large, but because it is so light and sheer it folds and drapes beautifully.
Wonderful! Do you happen to remember what other colors/material A carries and their price points? Thanks!
Foxie, they always have new ones available, but tend to buy neutrals like black and grey because it suits the look of the store. They also had some gorgeous jersey scarves in color merges from grey to deep indigo, which were very chic. I think this one is around $300. I wear it a lot and so far no pulls or pilling! Fabulous soft texture.
