Comme des Garçons Homme Deux x Dr. Martens

Just picked up these new Dr. Martens x Comme des Garçons Homme Deux Black derbies (also available in Burgundy). Super comfortable with the trademark bouncing sole and of course the contrast bright yellow stitching. Homme Deux is the more tailored and classic label in the CdG family, which is why these shoes don't veer too far from traditional Dr. Martens.

Black and Burgundy Brogues and Chukkas also available at Comme des Garçons NYC on 22nd Street and 10th Avenue. $180-$195 USD.

They look completely identical to the classic Dr Martens
except for the inside logo

Actually they are the Vintage 1461:

These are a direct replica of the very first boots to roll off the production line on 1 April 1960. Handcrafted in the original factory (Wollaston, Northamptonshire, England) by cobblers using the original construction techniques. The product, made on the original '59' last, features narrower horizontal tread bars, criss-crossed coring bars, a darker sole, a storm welt bound together on the lateral side, small indentations left on the welt by the original stitching machine, no top collar binding and runs into the eye stay above the top eyelet. This is where it all began.

I never really liked Dr Martins...too clunky for my taste. I thought their sandals that

were popular a few years ago were hideous.
But some of these colorful ones I like. They fall into the clothes as fun category
